This was absolutely unbelievable. Jonathan had such a depth of knowledge on everything associated with the prohibition period. We were totally gripped for 3+ hours which says a lot considering you’re also having drinks. 10/10 it is a Chicago MUST.

Excellent guide. Knowledgeable and good sense of humor. Quickly observed and addressed chatty passengers that were annoying others. Great fun. Highly recommend.

This was quite probably one of the best tours I have ever been on. The facts and entertainment as well as seeing and learning about the speakeasy’s was fantastic. If you do nothing else when visiting Chicago do this tour. A special shout out to John our guide absolutely brilliant and thank you.

Fantastic bus tour. Jonathan was a great guide. Drinks not included with ticket which made the tour price low and allowed you the opportunity to drink as much or as little as you wanted. I chose the first option. Try the Chicago Handshake at Burwood if you have the opportunity. We loved Luckys so much, we went back after the tour for some amazing Italian food. Strongly recommend the tour. Dress is casual and no kids under 21 allowed.

This was an incredible afternoon for our group! I’m so glad I came across this tour as a gift for my parents. We’re locals, and learned so much from Jonathan over the course of our tour about the Prohibition era, how speakeasies really operated, some debunking of misconceptions and myths about the time period, and had some fantastic drinks across several famous and hidden gem local establishments. I highly recommend this tour for tourists and locals alike!

Went on the Original Chicago Prohibition Tour (bus tour) with a bachelorette party. Our group had a great time. We went to four different locations, in photos, and were surprised at how much we learned on the tour. The locations we visited were fun and had great drinks. We even had time for a quick food break at one of the locations. Our guide Jonathan was very informative and made the learning fun. As Chicago-suburb locals, it was fun to learn about the city we grew up near. We would definitely consider going on it again!

AMAZING!! Took my wife for our anniversary/ her birthday. We did the original bus tour. Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and easy-going, and he kept the entire tour engaging. Each stop was unique and had great drinks. Take advantage of the opportunities to eat when you can. They are worth it. Highly recommend the tour for couples and even more so for larger groups. Can’t say enough good things about this!

Myself and 2 of my colleagues signed up for this tour on a work trip to Chicago and we’re super glad we did! Miranda, our guide, was very knowledgeable and did a great job showing us around. We learned a ton about prohibition and had a blast to boot.

This tour was so much fun. My husband and I were the only ones in attendance that night, so it was essentially a private tour. Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge about Chicago and prohibition. We visited three former speakeasies as we learned about the history behind them and prohibition and enjoyed an old fashioned at each one. I highly recommend this tour.

So I HIGHLY recommend the Chicago Prohibition Speakeasy Tour! What a fun time!
We stopped at Butch McGuires, Burwood Tap, Club Lucky, and Harry Caray’s. 3 out of the 4 in our group are Chicagoans and had been to some of the establishments in the past, but we found out info that we never knew and went into rooms that we had never been before. Jonathan the tour lead was both highly entertaining and a wealth of info about not just the 4 stops, but also the time of prohibition in Chicago. We’ll worth the money and time!

We really had a great time, the stops were fun and the drinks were good. Lots of history on Chicago’s mob past and the prohibition era. Shuttle will drop you in a different local the you meet but it’s not too far. Fun night on the town!
